The owners of P27 and Bankgirot have appointed Martin Johansson as Chairperson

Martin Johansson is a senior advisor within SEB and has broad experience from the financial industry, including as Head of Operations & Technology and as CIO in SEB as well as head of Citigroup in Canada. Martin Johansson has also had a leading role in establishing the private-public collaboration SAMLIT between the banks and the police in Sweden

“I look forward to leading both boards in Bankgirot and P27 in their work to modernize and future-proof the Swedish payment infrastructure”, says Martin Johansson.

The change of chair came into effect in July for Bankgirot, and comes to effect in August 2023 for P27. The election of new chairman of the board is subject to customary management suitability assessment and owner management suitability assessment with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority.

P27 owns Bankgirot, and the owner banks, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, SEB and Swedbank have a long-term commitment to deliver a future-proof payment infrastructure for the Swedish market.
