IT Infrastructure Architect for P27 Nordic Payments

We are looking for a qualified person with experience within banking/financial/payment industry who can play a vital role in continuing our journey of paving the way of payments in the Nordics and develop the future of products on top of the infrastructure we are building. We will trust you to drive the development of the infrastructure and products that will facilitate a large portion of the Nordic economy moving forward together with your colleagues in the Product team.

About the role

You will be responsible for payment solutions (Batch, Instant) in the Clearing and Settlement setup in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. You will be part of the IT organisation and specifically the IT Infrastructure team within P27 with likeminded peers who are ecstatic about payments just like yourself.

You will be instrumental in providing leadership in the payment solutions from an IT Infrastructure perspective and are able to deal with both tactical and operational matters. Hence, a previous industry experience in Payments or at a minimum, Banking & Financial (BFSI) domain is necessary. 

With a direct report to the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will be working from our office in either Stockholm, Copenhagen or Helsinki.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Staying on top of trends within Banking/Payments and driving the IT Infrastructure/solution architecture roadmap for payments in close cooperation with the rest of stakeholders 
  • Designing and maintaining the solution and application architecture, a description of the essential components of a business, including their inter-relationships
  • Applying architectural processes and techniques across solutions and applications
  • Facilitating and leading, as required, solution design workshops with existing and potential clients
  • Ensure that solution and application architecture is closely aligned to the business Strategy, Business Operating Model and IT strategy, and comply with all enterprise architecture requirements.

Your experience and background

  • 10+ years of experience in IT with 5+ years experience as an Architect in IT Infrastructure preferably in Banking/Financial/Payment (BFSI) industry domain.
  • Well versed with hyperscalers with specific focus on GCP and AWS providing input on risk assessments and participating in architectural decisions and infrastructure qualification Audit activities.
  • Knowledge of Banking and Financial Industry regulations such as EBA, SEPA guidelines and other relevant acts (such as Swedish Protective Security Act) and laws will be beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience in Data centre operations and Network setup, with specific focus on Service Oriented Architecture, will be needed for the role.
  • Expertise in Payment messaging and connectivity – primarily with SWIFT and SIANET connectivity, infrastructure and regulations will be a definite plus. 
  • Focus on solution-level decisions and analysis of their impact on the overall business goals and outcomes. Understanding of Message Implementation Guideline (MIG) and XML Schema Definition (XSD) is a key attribute of this role and hence is highly desirable. 
  • Design and maintain the solution and application architecture, a description of the essential components of a business, including their inter-relationships. In addition, experience in designing high level and low-level documents is a plus
  • Lead the development of a solution and application architecture for the entire organization, from all architecture perspectives (Business Services, Business Processes, Information, Applications and Technology)
  • Ensure that solution and application architecture is closely aligned to the business Strategy, Business Operating Model and IT strategy, and comply with all enterprise architecture requirements. 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience from handling product development through external vendors
  • Fluency in English and in one of the Nordic languages (working language is English)
  • Educational level: Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant discipline
